Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, having won six NBA championships and six MVP awards during his professional career. However, his accomplishments extend far beyond the basketball court. He is also a prolific author, with a particular interest in jazz, his own career, and historical mystery fiction. Abdul-Jabbar is also a regular contributor to various publications, including The Hollywood Reporter and The Guardian Newspaper.

Abdul-Jabbar was born Lew Alcindor and played center for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1975 to 1989. He is the all-time leading scorer in NBA history and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995. In addition to his contributions to basketball, Abdul-Jabbar is also a talented writer and a respected activist.
