Karen Devaney

Karen Devaney is a published author, playwright, and educator with a diverse literary portfolio spanning multiple genres. Her works include the adult novel "Artista by the Sea," the middle-grade novel "With Crow; The Tale of Two Sisters," and several children's books such as "Frederick the Forgetful Rattler," "Rosie the Dog Who Forgot to Grow," and "The Legends of B.B. Fibberpants." She co-wrote the play "The Great Forgotten" with her daughter Kacie Devaney, which premiered at the 2015 International Fringe Festival in NYC to critical acclaim. The play explores the lives of two sisters serving as nurses in WWI and their return to the Roaring Twenties, blending historical accuracy with compelling theatrical elements.

Devaney holds a B.F.A. in Theatre and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, blending her artistic and literary expertise into her storytelling.
