Karen Kingsbury is a bestselling author of Christian fiction, often referred to as America's "#1 inspirational novelist" and the "Queen of Christian fiction." She was born on June 8, 1963, in Fairfax, Virginia, and grew up in a large family as the eldest of several children. Karen attended Canoga Park School and later California State University Northridge, where she earned a degree in journalism in 1986.
With over twenty-five million copies of her books in print, Karen is a highly successful and prolific author. Her last dozen titles have all been bestsellers, and many of her novels are in development for TV series and movies. Among her most popular works are the Baxter Family books, which are being developed into a TV series for major network viewing.
