Kassandra Lamb is a successful American author, best known for her work in the genres of romantic suspense and cozy mystery. Born in Baltimore, she has spent the majority of her life in Maryland. With a strong interest in both psychology and writing, Lamb chose to pursue psychology as a career, believing that writers needed day jobs to support themselves. She worked as a psychotherapist and psychology lecturer at Towson University for two decades, where she discovered much about the darker side of human nature, as well as resilience and the healing power of laughter. Now retired, she is able to dedicate more time to her passion for writing.
Lamb's writing is heavily influenced by her background in psychology. She has created several popular book series, including the Kate Huntington Mystery, Kate on Vacation Mystery, Marcia Banks and Buddy Mystery, and C.o.P. on the Scene Mystery series. In addition to these, she has also written a nonfiction book titled "Someday Is Here," published in 2016. The character of Kate Huntington, the protagonist in the Kate Huntington Mystery series, is a psychotherapist, and many of the themes explored in the series are related to psychology and human nature.
In addition to her Maryland-based series, Lamb has also started a new cozy mystery series set in central Florida, where she now resides. This series, the Marcia Banks and Buddy cozy mysteries, follows the story of a service dog trainer and her trusty sidekick, a Black Labrador named Buddy. Lamb's unique background in psychology and her experiences as a psychotherapist and college professor have given her a wealth of knowledge and insights to draw upon in her writing, making her a truly compelling and captivating author in the genres of romantic suspense and cozy mystery.
