Currently, Kate Carlisle resides in Southern California with her husband, where she spends most of her time writing near the beach.

In addition to the Bibliophile Mysteries, Carlisle has also launched the Fixer-Upper Mysteries, featuring building contractor Shannon Hammer. This series is set in the picturesque and secret-laden town of Lighthouse Cove. The Fixer-Upper Mysteries have been adapted into a series of movies by the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel, starring Jewel and Colin Ferguson.
