Kate Douglas

Kate Douglas is a renowned author from the United States, well-known for her works in the romance, paranormal, and science fiction genres. She is particularly famous for her long-running paranormal series, Wolf Tales. Douglas has always known that she wanted to be a writer, but it took her some time to figure out the exact shape of her career. She started writing radio copies for a radio station in 1972 and went on to write and illustrate a cartoon strip for the American Mosquito Control Association for several years. She also worked as a newspaper reporter for a weekly newspaper agency in her town, covering everything from drug busts to school sports.

It was in the mid-1980s that Douglas decided to write her debut romance novel. She submitted numerous novels and short stories to various publishing companies, but many of them got rejected. However, in 1998, she sold one of her books to an upcoming ebook publisher, which was the beginning of her writing career. It wasn't until 2006 that she was able to sign up with a publisher from New York. The Kensington publishing company launched their imprint of Aphrodisia erotic romance, beginning with the Wolf Tales series written by Douglas. This sexy paranormal novel series is about a lost race of shapeshifters. Douglas went on to contribute 22 books and short stories in this series. With its success, she continued to write three other series for the Kensington Publishing before she moved to St Martin's Press.

Douglas has a couple of series lined up with her new publisher. In addition, she is also involved in writing the sequel series of Wolf Tales, which she has decided to publish independently. Douglas has been married for over fifty years to a terrific man who supports her writing career. She has two adult children and six grandchildren. They live in the small town of Healdsburg, California, in the heart of the beautiful Sonoma County wine country. Douglas is currently planning to spend time bringing out the titles she's gotten the rights back to and thinking about retiring.
