Kate White

Kate White is a successful American author, known for her mystery and thriller novels. She was born on September 3, 1951, in Glens Falla, New York, and began her career in the magazine industry after winning a contest hosted by Glamour magazine. Following her graduation from Union College in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Kate appeared on the cover of Glamour and was offered a position as an assistant editor at the magazine.

Throughout her career, Kate has made several bestseller lists and has been recognized with various awards. She served as the editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan Magazine from 1998 to 2012, where she played a crucial role in making the magazine the most successful in single copy sales in the U.S. After leaving her position at Cosmopolitan, Kate decided to focus full-time on her passion for writing suspense fiction. Her first mystery, If Looks Could Kill, was a Kelly Ripa Book Club pick and a #1 bestseller on Amazon.

Kate is the author of seventeen novels, including nine standalone psychological thrillers and eight Bailey Weggins mysteries. Some of her notable works include Between Two Strangers, The Secrets You Keep, The Second Husband, Have You Seen Me?, and Such a Perfect Wife. She has also written several non-fiction books that offer business advice for working women. Kate's work has been published in numerous countries and she is a frequent speaker at libraries, book conferences, and organizations.
