Katrina Carrasco

Katrina Carrasco is a distinguished American author, known for her fiction work. She identifies as queer and Latinx, with roots in southern California but now calls Seattle, Washington her home. Carrasco shares her home with two beloved dogs.

Carrasco has had her short stories featured in several well-known journals, including Witness, Post Road, and Quaint. Her nonfiction work has been published at Autostraddle, CrimeReads, and Literary Hub. She has been recognized for her writing with residencies at Yaddo, Blue Mountain Center, I-Park, Jentel, Willapa Bay AiR, and Mineral School. In 2017, Carrasco received the Grants for Artist Projects award from Artist Trust. Her writing accomplishments are highlighted by the publication of her first novel, THE BEST BAD THINGS.

Carrasco's academic background includes an M.F.A. in fiction from Portland State University, where she was awarded the Tom and Phyllis Burnam Graduate Fiction Scholarship and the Tom Doulis Graduate Fiction Writing Award.
