Katrine Engberg

Katrine Engberg is a successful Danish author, best known for her crime fiction novels. Her debut work, "The Tenant", also published under the title "Crocodile Guardian", was first published in 2016 and quickly gained widespread popularity. The book received numerous positive reviews and was listed as an O, The Oprah Magazine Title to Pick Up Now and an Indie Next Pick.

Engberg's background is as diverse as her writing. Before turning to novels, she worked as a choreographer, dancer, stage director, and actor. This diverse experience has informed her writing, which is known for its artful originality and beautiful prose. Her debut novel, "The Tenant", was the first in a series that has solidified her place as one of Denmark's most widely read and beloved crime authors.

Following the success of "The Tenant", Engberg released "Blood Moon", another excellent crime novel that received critical acclaim. The Copenhagen newspaper wrote that crime queens should be shaking in their boots at the upstart soon taking their place. This recognition earned Engberg a nomination for author of the year. She then went on to write "Glasvinge", the third novel in the series, which was also a huge success and received a MARTHA award nomination in 2018 and 2019.
