Kelley Armstrong

Kelley Armstrong is a highly accomplished Canadian author, best known for her works in the contemporary/urban fantasy, horror, and crime genres. She has an impressive output of twenty-eight novels, with several series among them. These include the "Women of the Otherworld," "Darkest Powers," "Age of Legends," and "Cainsville" series, as well as the Nadia Stafford crime series.

Armstrong's writing journey began in her early years when she would craft stories that featured supernatural elements, much to her teachers' dismay. This interest in the paranormal has persisted throughout her career, with her works often featuring ghosts, demons, and werewolves. Despite her teachers' attempts to encourage more conventional storytelling, Armstrong has always been drawn to the unusual and the extraordinary.

In addition to her novels, Armstrong has also written novellas and short stories, many of which are available on her website. She has co-written works with other authors, including Melissa Marr, and has contributed to the "Blackwell Pages Trilogy." Her commitment to her craft is evident in the lengths she goes to for research, having studied aikido, archery, and fencing, although she admits she is not particularly skilled in any of these areas.

Despite her busy writing schedule, Armstrong is a dedicated mother and wife, living in southwestern Ontario with her family and numerous pets. She enjoys coffee and is a self-proclaimed connoisseur of chocolate-chip cookies, demonstrating a charming relatability that contrasts with the often dark and supernatural themes of her work.
