Kelly Harms

Kelly Harms is a successful American author, best known for her general fiction and romance books. She was born and raised in Iowa and pursued her higher education at Gustavus Adolphus College, where she studied Biology and Violin Performance. After completing her education, Harms ventured into selling shoes and took an internship at the Utne Reader. This internship led to a decade-long career in the publishing industry.

Harms' debut novel, The Good Luck Girls of Shipwreck Lane, was published in 2013. Since then, she has written several other popular novels, including The Bright Side of Going Dark, The Overdue Life of Amy Byler, and The Matchmakers of Minnow Bay. Her works have been well-received by readers and critics alike, earning her a spot on the USA Today, Washington Post, and Amazon Charts bestseller lists. Harms' books have been translated into over a dozen languages and have been praised by critics and readers worldwide.

Before becoming a writer, Harms worked as an editor at a division of HarperCollins and later as a literary agent at the Jane Rotrosen Agency. During her time in publishing, she worked with several bestselling and award-winning authors, including Edgar, RITA, and Agatha award winners, and Indie Next List Picks. Harms now lives in Madison, Wisconsin, with her family, where she enjoys meeting her readers both virtually and in person.
