Kendare Blake is a bestselling American author, best known for her young adult novels which span a variety of genres including fantasy, horror, and contemporary fiction. She has several books listed on the New York Times’ bestsellers list, including the Goddess Wars series and the Three Dark Crowns series.
Blake is a writer of horror and fantasy novels, often with violent and dark themes. She has always had a passion for writing, and cites the works of Richard Linklater, Bret Easton, and Caitlin R. Kiernan as some of her biggest influences. Her debut novel, “Anna Dressed in Blood,” which was published in 2011, received critical acclaim and much popularity among fantasy and horror fiction lovers. In addition to her horror and fantasy novels, Blake has also written contemporary fiction, including “Sleepwalk Society.”

Blake grew up in the small city of Cambridge, Minnesota, and is a graduate of Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. She received a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Middlesex University in London, England. In her free time, she loves to travel and is an advocate for animals. She is also a fan of the Final Fantasy video game series and enjoys playing in her free time.
