Kenneth Kappelmann

Ken Kappelmann is a scientist-turned-author with a background in cellular biology and microbiology, having studied at the University of Kansas and Oregon State Graduate School before spending a year in Switzerland. Though his professional career initially centered on science, sales, and manufacturing, he later transitioned to writing fantasy fiction. His debut series, "The Hidden Magic," which includes "The Return of the Dragons," "The Dragon Unknown," and a third installment, garnered critical acclaim, collectively winning ten awards. Notably, "The Return of the Dragons" earned Fantasy Book of the Year at the Halloween Book Festival in Hollywood, while its sequel received the 2015 Best Sequel award.

In 2017, Kappelmann shifted genres with the release of "Never Been Found," a suspense-driven detective novel published by Black Rose Writing. The book launched his Tomas O'Malley series, following a Chicago homicide detective navigating complex cases filled with romance, murder, and intrigue. The novel immediately won two book contests, marking a successful entry into the thriller genre. Kappelmann's ability to craft compelling narratives across fantasy and crime fiction showcases his versatility as a writer.
