Kianna Alexander is a renowned author, known for her series such as Roses of Ridgeway, Gentlemen of Queen City, Southern Gentlemen, Climax Creek, and 404 Sound. She has always had a deep love for the written word, having been an avid reader since she was a child. She would read anything she could get her hands on, from cereal boxes and newspapers to product packaging and magazines like Ebony, Essence, and Jet. Her love for reading led her to devour entire series like Fear Street and Sweet Valley Books.
As a teenager, Alexander discovered her mother's collection of Harlequin romance novels, which she was forbidden to touch. However, her curiosity got the better of her, and she read some of them, gaining her first introduction to romance. It was at the age of sixteen when she picked up her stepmother's copy of Night Song by Beverly Jenkins that she discovered a love for historical romance novels featuring black characters. This book had a profound impact on her, and she credits it with planting the seed of desire to write romance.
Beyond her writing, Alexander is a woman of many talents and interests. She is a doting mama, advice-dispensing sister, fun aunt, and gabbing girlfriend. She enjoys sewing, painting in oils, and has a passion for history. Alexander takes pride in telling stories where Black women are loved, valued, and thriving. She is a native of the TarHeel state and still resides there, surrounded by her collection of well-loved vintage 80's Barbie dolls.
