Kimberly McCreight is an accomplished American novelist, particularly known for her mystery novels. Despite having no initial desire to become a writer, McCreight pursued a career in law after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She worked for two different law firms before growing weary of the demanding 80-hour work weeks. It was during a year-long stay in London with her fiance that she found the opportunity to begin writing.
McCreight's work has garnered significant recognition and acclaim. Her novel, Reconstructing Amelia, was a New York Times bestseller and earned her an Edgar Award for Best First Time Novel.
