Kimberly McCreight

Kimberly McCreight is an accomplished American novelist, particularly known for her mystery novels. Despite having no initial desire to become a writer, McCreight pursued a career in law after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She worked for two different law firms before growing weary of the demanding 80-hour work weeks. It was during a year-long stay in London with her fiance that she found the opportunity to begin writing.

McCreight's work has garnered significant recognition and acclaim. Her novel, Reconstructing Amelia, was a New York Times bestseller and earned her an Edgar Award for Best First Time Novel. Entertainment Weekly also named it their Favorite Book of the Year. In addition to Reconstructing Amelia, McCreight has written several other literary thrillers, including A Good Marriage and Friends Like These. Her upcoming book, Like Mother, Like Daughter, is set to be released in summer 2024.
