Kirsten Alexander is the author of three novels, including "Half Moon Lake" (published as "Lost Boy Found" in the US and Canada), "Riptides," and the forthcoming "After the Fall." Her debut novel, "Half Moon Lake," was published by Penguin Random House in Australia and New Zealand in 2019, followed by Grand Central Publishing's release in North America the following year. Her works span historical fiction and contemporary drama, often exploring themes of family dynamics and moral complexity.
With a diverse career in publishing, Alexander has worked as a nonfiction book editor, copywriter, and freelance writer for publications such as The Age, The Daily Beast, and Atticus Review. She co-founded and edited the digital journal "Open Field" and served as a reviewer for ABC Radio National’s "The Book Show." Currently, she shares her expertise as an editor and tutor for the Faber Writing Academy. Born in San Francisco and raised in Brisbane, Alexander now resides in Melbourne with her family.
