Kirsty Manning

Kristy Manning is a highly accomplished Australian author, known for her captivating historical fiction novels. Born and raised in northern New South Wales, Manning developed a love for literature and communication at an early age. She pursued higher education in these fields and went on to work in book publishing as an editor and publishing manager for over a decade.

Manning's extensive travels have significantly influenced her writing, as she has explored most of Europe, the east and west coasts of the United States, and various parts of Asia. In 2005, Manning and her husband, with their three young children, built a house in an old chestnut grove in the Macedon Ranges. There, they planted an orchard and vegetable garden, created herbal walks, and constructed stone walls by hand. Manning enjoys cooking with her children and has a collection of heirloom copper pots that she uses to make jams, chutneys, and soups.

Along with her husband, Alex Wilcox, Manning is a partner in the award-winning Melbourne wine bar Bellota and the Prince Wine Store in Sydney and Melbourne.
