Kristen Britain

Kristen Britain is a bestselling American author, well-known for her epic fantasy novels, particularly the Green Rider series. As a child, Britain's love for writing emerged when she wrote an undersea fantasy story at the age of nine. This story featured herself and her friends, revealing her early interest in creating imaginative worlds. Raised in the Finger Lakes area of New York State, Britain's love for the region stayed with her, as she would later draw inspiration from its natural beauty in her writing.

After graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in film production and a minor in creative writing, Britain pursued a career in the National Park Service. Her experiences as a park ranger allowed her to work in various natural and historical settings, providing valuable inspiration and research for her future writing. Britain's diverse background, from working 300 feet below the Earth's surface to 13,000 feet above sea level, contributed to the rich and diverse worlds she would later create in her novels.

Currently, Britain resides in a log cabin in Maine, where she dedicates her time to writing and pursuing various interests, including reading, guitar playing, and cartoon illustration. Her peaceful home is shared with a cat and a dog, who accompany her as she explores the magical landscapes surrounding her. Often found paddling a canoe, ambling through the woods, or sitting along the rocky shore, Britain's life is a reflection of the enchanting worlds she creates in her Green Rider series.
