Kristin Billerbeck

Kristin Billerbeck is a bestselling author, known for her distinctive voice in the chick lit genre, and for bringing this genre into the Christian market. She grew up in California, with a strong sense of justice and a clear idea of how things should be. Billerbeck's childhood was influenced by her parents, whose contrasting influences shaped her unique perspective. Her mother's Norwegian/German family tried to teach her practical skills and responsibility, while her Italian father's family introduced her to the pleasures of fine food, shopping, and indulgence.

Despite her mother's efforts to teach her practical skills, Billerbeck found herself drawn to the more indulgent aspects of life. She graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Journalism & Mass Communications, with an emphasis in Advertising. During college, she found her faith and met her future husband in a Christian Singles' Group. Together, they have four children and continue to reside in California, providing her with endless writing inspiration.

Billerbeck is the author of more than 30 novels, including "What a Girl Wants" and the Ashley Stockingdale and Spa Girls series.
