Kristin Harmel is a New York Times bestselling and USA Today bestselling author, known for her captivating novels that have been translated into over 30 languages and sold worldwide. Some of her most popular works include "The Paris Daughter," "The Forest of Vanishing Stars," "The Book of Lost Names," and many more. Before becoming a renowned author, Harmel worked as a reporter for PEOPLE magazine, beginning her writing career at the age of 16 as a sportswriter for a local magazine in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Harmel's professional writing experience extends beyond books and journalism. She has also contributed to the national television morning show, The Daily Buzz, and has made appearances on Good Morning America and various local television morning shows. Her travels for book research and her love for pastries and wine have taken her to France frequently. Born outside Boston, Massachusetts, Harmel spent her childhood in several places, including Columbus, Ohio, and St. Petersburg, Florida. She earned a degree in journalism with a minor in Spanish from the University of Florida and lived in Paris and Los Angeles before settling in Orlando with her husband and son.
