L. Jagi Lamplighter is a prominent figure in modern fantasy literature. Based in the United States, she is known for her extensive writing in the fantasy and children's genres. After graduating from St. John's College in Annapolis, Lamplighter embarked on a successful career as an author.
In addition to her work as an author, Lamplighter is a loving mother of four children and lives in Centreville, VA, with her husband, John C. Wright, who is also a writer. When she is not writing, Lamplighter embraces her secret identity as a stay-home mom, where she experiences fairytale-like happiness with her family.
Lamplighter is best known for her works, including The Unexpected Enlightenment of Rachel Griffin and the Prospero's Daughter Trilogy, which includes Prospero Lost, Prospero In Hell, and Prospero Regained. Her writing also extends to a number of short stories, articles on anime, and contributions to the BaddAss Faeries series as an author and assistant editor.
In her essays, Prospero Lost: A Writer's Odyssey and All About The Wonder: Why I Write Fantasy, Lamplighter shares her personal experiences and insights into the writing life, the publishing world, and the power of wonder and magic in literature. These essays offer a unique perspective into Lamplighter's creative process and her passion for storytelling.
