Larry Enmon is a successful American author, particularly known for his mystery, suspense, crime fiction, and thriller novels. He is best recognized for his Rob Soliz and Frank Pierce Mystery series. Enmon was born and raised in Shelby County, Texas, and developed an early interest in writing mystery stories. However, he only began writing after retiring from his career in law enforcement.
Enmon obtained a degree in Law Enforcement and Police Science from Sam Houston State University in 1975. He then joined the Department of Houston Police and worked in the vice and patrol divisions for six years. After leaving the Houston Police Department, Enmon joined the U.S. Secret Service, where he acted as a liaison between the USSS and FBI. He was also a member of the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), a joint operation of the USSS and the FBI. During his time in the Secret Service, Enmon received training from the CIA in the investigation and production of weapons of mass destruction.
As an author, Enmon has written several political thrillers, in addition to the Rob and Frank mystery series. His experiences in law enforcement and the U.S. Secret Service have provided him with a wealth of knowledge and insight into the world of crime and politics, making him a compelling and authentic writer. Enmon currently resides in North Texas with his wife, and they enjoy spending time at their East Texas ranch and North Carolina mountain cabin.
