Lee Karr

Lee Karr, also known by her pseudonym Leona Karr, is an accomplished author with over 30 published books spanning multiple genres, including mysteries, historical romances, gothics, paranormal romances, and romantic suspense. Her works, such as those featured in Harlequin series, have been translated into numerous languages, with over a million copies reprinted worldwide. Karr has garnered recognition for her ability to craft compelling narratives filled with mysterious heroes and courageous heroines, often set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains near her Colorado home.

A native of Colorado, Karr holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado and an M.A. from the University of Northern Colorado. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked as a reading specialist until the publication of her first book in 1980. Her career achievements include appearing on the Waldenbooks bestseller list, receiving nominations from "Romantic Times" for Best Romantic Saga and Best Gothic Author, and earning accolades such as Rocky Mountain Fiction Writer of the Year and Colorado's Romance Writer of the Year.
