Leonard Goldberg is an accomplished author, physician, and professor, best known for his medical thrillers and the Daughter of Sherlock Holmes series. Goldberg's novels have been translated into over a dozen languages and have sold more than a million copies worldwide.
In addition to his writing career, Goldberg is a consulting physician and Clinical Professor of Medicine at the UCLA Medical Center. He is highly sought after as an expert witness in medical malpractice trials and is board certified in rheumatology, internal medicine, and hematology. Goldberg has also published numerous scientific studies in peer-reviewed journals.
Goldberg's writing career began with a clinical interest in blood disorders. While working on a research project at UCLA, he encountered a most unusual blood type, which sparked the idea for his first novel, Transplant. The book quickly became a success and was optioned by a major Hollywood studio. Goldberg is a native of Charleston and currently spends his time between Los Angeles and an island off the coast of South Carolina.
