Lesley Kara

Lesley Kara is a highly acclaimed British author, best known for her thriller, crime fiction, and mystery novels. She has gained significant recognition for her standalone books, The Rumour and Who Did You Tell? Kara's passion for writing led her to complete a course titled 'Writing a Novel' at the Faber Academy. Prior to her career as an author, Kara worked in various fields including nursing, secretarial work, and education. She has held positions such as manager and lecturer in Further Education in London.

Kara made her debut in the literary world in 2018 with the novel The Rumour, which became a bestseller in the UK and was translated into 18 languages. Lesley Kara was born in England and earned her degree in English from Greenwich University in London. She also holds a PGCE from the same institution. Kara now resides in the coastal region of North Essex in the United Kingdom with her family. With her children now in school, she has the opportunity to focus on her writing full-time.
