Leslie Gould is a successful American author, best known for her Christian and Amish fiction. She has written over forty novels, including several series such as Women of Lancaster County, Cousins of the Dove, and Courtships of Lancaster County, which she co-authored with Mindy Starns Clark. Gould's love for writing began in the sixth grade, and she spent several years working in other fields, including as a magazine editor, a museum curator, and a public relations specialist, before becoming a novelist.
Gould earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Portland State University and has taught fiction as an adjunct professor at Multnomah University. She also teaches workshops at schools and writers' conferences. Her experience in other fields, particularly her work as a curator for a historical museum and as a bridal magazine editor, has informed her writing and given her a unique perspective. Gould's novels are deeply researched and reflect her love of history, traveling, and church history.
Gould has been married for over twenty years and is a mother of four children. It took her ten years to get her first novel published, a testament to her persistence and dedication to her craft. In addition to her successful writing career, Gould enjoys hiking and spending time with her family, including her grandchild. She currently resides in Oregon with her husband.
