Leslie Rule

Leslie Rule is a bestselling author, known for her works in the genres of paranormal, suspense, and crime fiction. In addition to her fiction novels, she has written numerous articles that have been featured in international publications and magazines such as "Reader's Digest". Rule comes from a family of writers and is the daughter of the renowned crime author Ann Rule, who was famous for her work "The Stranger Beside Me". Ann Rule's friendship with serial killer Ted Bundy, whom she met while working at the suicide crisis hotline in Seattle, inspired this pivotal work.

Leslie Rule spent over three decades writing fantasy and suspense novels targeted at young audiences. However, in 2020, she decided to follow in her mother's footsteps and venture into true-crime fiction. Her first true-crime novel, "A Tangled Web," was published in 2020 by Kensington Publishing. The novel is based on the case of Shanna Golyar, a woman charged with the murder of a woman she had been impersonating via email and phone for years. Rule was drawn to this case because she wanted to warn readers about the dangers posed by female sadistic sociopaths.

Rule is a veteran author with over three decades of experience, and her works extend beyond true crime. She has written two suspense novels and five nonfiction books on the paranormal, including "Coast to Coast Ghosts—True Stories of Hauntings Across America". Rule's fascination with true crime began at a young age when she started attending murder trials with her mother. She was given the responsibility of photographing the killers in the courtroom, and many of her photographs have been featured in her mother's books. In addition to her bestselling books, Rule has published dozens of articles in national magazines, including "First for Women," "Woman’s World," and "Reader’s Digest".
