Leslie Vedder

Leslie Vedder is a queer asexual author who has a passion for fairytale retellings that feature girl adventurers and heroes. She was raised on a steady diet of fantasy books, anime, fanfiction, and the Lord of the Rings movies. Vedder met her true love in high school choir, and they are now married and living in Colorado with two beloved house cats.

Vedder's love for reading and writing took her to San Francisco State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in creative writing. When she's not engrossed in a book or working on her latest project, Vedder enjoys watching anime and sci-fi shows, taking walks in the woods and imagining them as enchanted forests, and playing old video games. She takes pride in collecting all the Skulltulas in Zelda and all the Dalmation puppies in Kingdom Hearts.

Vedder's debut young adult novel, "The Bone Spindle," was an ABA indie bestseller. The book, which combines elements of fairytales, romance, and adventure, has been praised for its representation of queer characters and its fresh take on traditional stories. Vedder's writing is heavily influenced by her love for fantasy and her own experiences as a queer person, and she continues to create stories that reflect her unique perspective and interests.
