Liane Moriarty is a successful Australian author, best known for her women's fiction and children's fiction novels. Born in Sydney in November 1966, Moriarty is the eldest of six children and has had a lifelong love of books. She wrote her first novel, "The Mystery of Dead Man's Island," for her father when she was young, and has been an avid reader and writer ever since.
Before becoming a full-time author, Moriarty worked in advertising and marketing, and later as a freelance copywriter. It wasn't until her sister, Jaclyn Moriarty, sold a novel that Liane began taking her own writing seriously. Her first novel, "Three Wishes," was published by Pan Macmillan after she completed her Master's degree at Macquarie University.
