Libby Page is a successful author of general fiction, best known for her debut novel "The Lido." Before achieving success as an author, Page worked in marketing and wrote on the side. She has always had a passion for writing, which was evident from a young age when she wrote an illustrated book called "Love Pink" at the age of 16 to raise money for Breast Cancer Care.
Page earned her Bachelor's degree in Fashion Journalism from The London College of Fashion. After graduating, she went on to work as a journalist at The Guardian. Her time at The Guardian not only allowed her to gain experience as a journalist but also sparked her interest in outdoor swimming.
"The Lido" is Page's first novel, and it was pre-empted for six figures in the UK and the US within 24 hours of submission. The novel has been published in over a dozen territories around the world. Page's passion for outdoor swimming is reflected in "The Lido," which features a community swimming pool as a central theme.
In addition to her writing, Page is also an advocate for fairer internships and has spoken on TV and in parliament in support of fair pay for interns. She continues to live in London, where she enjoys discovering new swimming spots and building a sense of community within the city. Page's second passion for outdoor swimming is also reflected in her social media presence, where she can be found on Twitter at @LibbyPageWrites and Instagram at @TheSwimmingSisters.
