Lillie Lainoff

Lillie Lainoff is an author known for her young adult fiction and contributions to disability representation in literature. Her debut novel, "One for All," published in 2022, was widely acclaimed, earning spots on NPR's Best Books of 2022, Buzzfeed and Paste Magazine's Best YA Books of 2022, and Booklist's Best First Novels for Youth. The book also became a Junior Library Guild selection and a YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults pick.

Lainoff holds a B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing from Yale University and an MA in Creative Writing Prose Fiction from the University of East Anglia. Her work spans fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, with publications in The Washington Post, The LA Review, and the Disability Visibility Project, among others. She won the 2019 LA Review Literary Award for Short Fiction and founded Disabled Kidlit Writers, advocating for disability inclusion in literature. A former NCAA Division I fencer for Yale, Lainoff made history as one of the first physically disabled athletes to qualify individually for an NCAA Championship event. She continues to engage in competitive fencing and coaching while residing in Washington, D.C.
