Lisa Jewell is a successful English author, born in London in 1968. She was raised in a Catholic girls' school in Finchley and later attended Barnet College and the Epsom School of Art & Design for Fashion Illustration and Communication. Jewell's first foray into the world of work was in the fashion industry, where she held positions as a PR assistant and a receptionist. It was only after a bet with her flatmates that she began writing, ultimately leading to her career as a novelist.
Jewell is best known for her entertaining fiction novels, with her most popular books including "Thirty Nothing," "Ralph's Party," and its sequel, "After Party." However, she has also written a number of dark psychological thrillers, such as "The Girls," "Then She Was Gone," "The Family Upstairs," "The Family Remains," and "The Night She Disappeared." These novels have been picked for the Richard & Judy Book Club and have become bestsellers in the New York Times and Sunday Times. Lisa's books have been published in over thirty languages worldwide.
