Lisa Mondello has always been passionate about writing. Although she has held various jobs throughout her life, her ultimate career goal was to become a published author. She attributes the creation of the personal computer as the catalyst for her leap into writing novels, as it allowed her to explore the world of writing in a more efficient and convenient way. Prior to her writing career, she might have been limited to using pen and paper to jot down her stories.
In addition to her work as a novelist, Mondello also works as a freelance writer. Her first book, "All I Want for Christmas is You," was published in 2004 and went on to win the Best First Book award in the Golden Quill contest. Her books have also been finalists in the HOLT Medallion and the Colorado Award of Excellence contests. In 2011, she re-released "All I Want for Christmas is You" along with a re-issue of her romantic comedy, "The Marriage Contract." She has also written a number of popular series, including "TEXAS HEARTS," "DAKOTA HEARTS," "Fate with a Helping Hand," and the new "SUMMER HOUSE" series.
Mondello has achieved significant success as a writer, with several of her books becoming bestsellers. Her book "The Knight and Maggie's Baby" was a New York Times Bestseller, and her romantic suspense novel "MATERIAL WITNESS" made the USA TODAY Bestsellers List and was named one of Kirkus Reviews Best Books of 2012. Despite her accomplishments, Mondello shows no signs of slowing down and has no plans to retire from writing. She continues to engage with her readers and share her stories with the world.
