Phillips was born in Southern-On-Sea, United Kingdom and grew up an hour outside of London. She attended Calvary Chapel Bible College where she met her husband, who hails from California. It wasn’t until her Bible College graduation that Phillips discovered her passion and talent for writing. Before that, she had always been interested in storytelling but never considered it as a career path. Once she realized that she was meant to be a writer, she took writing courses with the Christian Writers Guide to further hone her craft.

In addition to being a successful author, Phillips is also a worship leader, tea aficionado, and dog lover. She shares her home with two crazy Airedales who bring joy and companionship to her life.
