Lisa Wingate

Lisa Wingate is a successful and prolific American author, known for her inspirational fiction novels. She has written over thirty books, including the series Tending Roses, Blue Sky Hills, and Moses Lake. Her writing is influenced by her background as a journalist and her experiences living in a large family of cowboys and southern storytellers. Prior to becoming an author, Wingate had dreams of becoming an Olympic gymnast or a winner at the National Finals Rodeo.

In addition to her fiction work, Wingate has also written nonfiction and has a successful career as a motivational speaker. She has had multiple best-selling novels, including "Before We Were Yours" and "The Book of Lost Friends" which spent over a year on the New York Times best-seller list. Wingate's work has been well-received and has won or been nominated for numerous awards, including the Pat Conroy Southern Book Prize, the Oklahoma Book Award, the Utah Library Award, the Carol Award, the Christy Award, and the RT Reviewers’ Choice Award.
