Lish McBride is a young adult author, best known for her unique and engaging novels such as "Hold Me Closer, Necromancer"; "Necromancing the Stone"; "Firebug"; and "Pyromantic". Her writing style combines humor and creepy elements, which has earned her a reputation as a writer of entertaining and captivating young adult books.
McBride grew up in the Pacific Northwest and later moved to New Orleans for her university education. She received her BFA in creative writing from Seattle University and her MFA from the University of New Orleans. Currently, she resides in Seattle with her family, cats, and Chihuahua. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, watching zombie movies, and engaging in intelligent conversations.
In addition to being a writer, McBride is also a bookseller and event host at Third Place Books, a thriving indie bookstore just outside of Seattle. Her first book, "Hold Me Closer, Necromancer," received critical acclaim and won several awards, including being voted the best book by the American Library Association and a finalist for the YALSA award. Despite her success, McBride remains humble and down-to-earth, often posting pictures of her dogs online and engaging with her fans on social media.
