Liz Lazarus is an accomplished American author, known for her thrilling works in the genres of suspense, thriller, and crime. She made her debut in the literary world in 2015 with the release of her first book, Free of Malice. This book is particularly noteworthy as it is loosely based on some of Lazarus's own personal experiences, and tells the story of a woman's journey in healing as she navigates the complexities of the legal system and grapples with her right to self-defense.

Prior to her career as an author, Lazarus pursued a successful path in the corporate world. She earned an engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Despite her success in the business world, Lazarus found herself drawn to storytelling and eventually pursued a career in writing.

Lazarus's writing journey began with her first novel, Free of Malice, which was released in the spring of 2016. Although the attack on the main character is based on Lazarus's own experience, the novel is a work of fiction that explores the emotional realities of healing from a vicious assault. Her second novel, Plea for Justice, was released in 2018 and is a thrilling tale that follows a paralegal's journey as she investigates the case of her estranged friend's incarceration. In 2021, Lazarus released her third novel, Shades of Silence, which highlights the resilience of a woman facing devastating loss and the unexpected friendships forged from tragedy.
