Loretta Nyhan is a successful author who has a deep-rooted love for reading. Nyhan was a reader before she became a writer, devouring everything and anything she could get her hands on, whether it was something as mundane as the backs of cereal boxes or the instruction booklet for building the Barbie dream house. This early love for reading evolved into an obsession, and later, a need to write.
After college, Nyhan wrote for national trade magazines, taught writing to college freshmen, and eventually found the courage to try her hand at fiction. She is the author of several novels, including "All the Good Parts" (Lake Union, 2016) and "Digging In" (Lake Union, 2017). Her previous published novels include "I’ll Be Seeing You" and "Empire Girls" (MIRA Books). When she's not writing, Nyhan can be found pursuing other creative outlets, such as knitting and baking, activities that her high school self would have found amusing.
Nyhan is a prolific author with seven novels to her name. Her most recent novel is "The New Person." Previous titles include "The Other Family," the bestselling "Digging In," "All the Good Parts," "Home Front Girls," and "Empire Girls." Nyhan has also written a novel for young adults, "The Witch Collector." She lives in the Chicago area with her Brady Bunch blended family.
