Lori Foster is a best-selling American novelist, known for her romance and romantic suspense novels, as well as her urban fantasy novels written under the pen name L.L. Foster. Foster discovered her love for romantic fiction while she was out sick with pneumonia, and after two years, she decided to pursue her passion for writing and create her own romance novels. Some of her favorite romance novelists include Kresley Cole, Linda Howard, and Elizabeth Lowell. Foster currently resides in rural Ohio with her husband.
Since publishing her first novel in 1996, Foster has become a USA Today, Publisher's Weekly, and New York Times bestselling author. She has published over seventy romance novels and several best-selling urban fantasy novels through various publishing houses, including Kensington, St. Martin's, Harlequin, Silhouette, Samhain, and Berkley/Jove. Currently, she is published with HQN. Foster is well-known for her annual "Reader & Author" event in West Chester, Ohio, which has benefited many charitable causes, including the Hamilton County YWCA Battered Women's Shelter, the Animal Adoption Foundation, The Conductive Learning Center for children with spina bifida and cerebral palsy, and The One Way Farm, Children's Home. She donates all proceeds from one book each year to charity.

In 2002, her book "Too Much Temptation" was the top-selling romance title for Amazon books. In 2003, "Say No To Joe" was the second "Bestselling Original Contemporary" romance title for Waldenbooks. In 2004, Foster was a clue in the New York Times crossword puzzle. In 2005, she received the Romantic Times "Career Achievement Award" for Contemporary Romance. In 2007, she launched a new "urban fantasy" series under the name L.L. Foster. Foster's books have consistently been top-sellers and have received numerous accolades from readers and critics alike.
