Loraine Heath is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, known for her historical romance novels. Born in Watford, Hertfordshire, England, Heath moved to Texas at a young age and was raised in Angleton. She is the daughter of a British model and an American father, which has given her a unique perspective and love for both British and Texan heritage, often woven into her stories. Heath earned her BA in psychology from the University of Texas, which has helped her create believable characters in her novels.
Heath's love for storytelling began at an early age, inspired by watching movies with her mother. She started writing while still young and began her career writing computer codes and training manuals for the IRS. However, she found her true calling in writing emotional romantic novels and young adult novels. In addition to writing under her own name, Heath also uses the pen names Rachel Hawthorne, Jade Parker, and J.A. London, particularly for her young adult novels.
Heath's novels have been recognized with numerous industry awards, including the prestigious RITA® from the Romance Writers of America. Her work has also appeared on bestseller lists, such as USA TODAY and the New York Times. She has written over 60 novels and is known for her captivating storytelling and richly drawn characters. Heath continues to write historical and contemporary romance for adults and historical romance for teen readers, as well as popular contemporary, historical, and paranormal romance for teens under the names Rachel Hawthorne and Jade Parker, and young adult novels with her son under the name J. A. London.
