Lou Bradshaw is an American author of fiction novels, who spent most of his life as a commercial illustrator and graphic artist before turning to writing. Growing up, Bradshaw was a dyslexic child and struggled with reading, but he excelled in art. This led him to pursue a career in commercial illustration and graphic design, where he faced stress and deadlines that often caused him to lose sleep. To combat this, Bradshaw would create stories in his mind to distract himself from the stress.
One day, he decided to put his ideas on paper and discovered a new, challenging, and exciting passion. Upon retirement, Bradshaw began assembling his notes and scribbles into novels. To date, he has written seven books, which is six more than he was able to read while in school. His work is unique in that it reflects his experiences as a dyslexic child, and he has found success in writing as a hobby-turned-passion.
Bradshaw and his wife Avon currently reside in the Missouri Ozarks, where they enjoy their family, golf, and the great outdoors. He has found that writing and art are similar in that they both involve building a story or image from a blank page or canvas. With his tenth book recently released, Bradshaw has established himself as a successful author, thanks to the support of his readers.
