Lyle Nicholson is a bestselling Canadian mystery author, best known for his "Bernadette Callahan Mystery" series. His love for reading began at a young age, encouraged by his parents who were avid readers themselves.
Nicholson was born in British Columbia, Canada, and is the youngest of three sons. His father, who passed away when Nicholson was 15, was a storyteller, a trait that Nicholson inherited and developed at an early age. After his father's death, Nicholson's life took him on travels through Europe and a five-year stay in a Monastery. However, he found that monastic life was not for him, and he left in 1979. He went on to meet and marry his wife in 1982 and spent several years working for various companies, starting businesses that failed, until he finally found success with a sales agency. Nicholson retired in 2011, but soon discovered that retirement did not suit him. His extensive travels and meditations led him to begin writing, resulting in the publication of several novels, novellas, and articles for Canadian magazines.
Now residing in a small city in Western Canada, Nicholson continues to write thrillers and mysteries with a unique twist. With ten novels, two novellas, two short stories, and numerous articles to his name, Nicholson has established himself as a successful and prolific author. His former career as a sales agent, which took him to various parts of the world, has provided him with a wealth of experiences and stories to draw upon in his writing. Nicholson is passionate about his work and is happy to have found his calling as a writer, no longer on the road but following his passion.
