Lynn Steger Strong is an author and educator known for her fiction and nonfiction works. She has published three novels: "Hold Still," "Want," and "Flight." Her essays and literary criticism have appeared in prominent publications such as *The New York Times*, *New York Magazine*, *Harper’s Bazaar*, *The Los Angeles Times*, and *The New Republic*. Strong also teaches writing at Columbia University, where she earned her MFA in Fiction.
Born and raised in South Florida, Strong later moved to Brooklyn, where she lives with her husband and two daughters. Her writing often explores themes of identity, desire, and human connection, blending sharp observation with emotional depth. In addition to her novels, she has contributed to literary discourse through her nonfiction, establishing herself as a versatile voice in contemporary literature.
