Lynnette Bonner is a USA Today bestselling author who was born in Malawi, Africa, and spent her early years in the warm equatorial climate before attending boarding school in Kenya. She later moved to Washington for her university studies, where she met her husband, Marty. The couple later settled in Pierce, Idaho. It was during their time in Idaho that Bonner became interested in the history of the town, which inspired her to write the Rocky Mountain Oasis and the Shepherd's Heart series.
Bonner is the daughter of missionaries and was born and raised in Africa. She attended high school at Rift Valley Academy, a boarding school in Kenya, before moving to Washington for university. Bonner is a wife and mother of four and currently resides in Washington, where her husband pastors a church.
Bonner's writing is inspired by her experiences growing up in Africa and her love for the outdoors. She is known for her ability to create vivid and engaging settings in her novels. Her Shepherd's Heart series, which includes Rocky Mountain Oasis, is set in the fictional town of Pierce, Idaho, and features strong, independent female characters and romantic storylines.
