Nancy Ann Healy is an accomplished American author, known for her work in lesbian fiction. She is most famous for the Alex and Cassidy series of political thrillers, which includes seven best-selling novels: Intersection, Betrayal, Commitment, Conspiracy, Untold, as well as the stand-alone novels Falling Through Shooting Stars and All the Way Home. Healy has also written under the name JA Armstrong since 2015, producing six best-selling series of lesbian romance novels, including Off Screen, By Design, Special Delivery, First Course, Open Tab, and The Journey of Discovery Series of erotic romance.
Healy is a woman of diverse talents and interests, having worked in various fields, from managing bookstores to performing as a standup comedian. She is happily married to her wife, Melissa, and they have a son named Chris and two dogs, Maggie and Sydney Bristow. The family resides in Connecticut, where Healy is currently furthering her studies in social justice through Arizona State University and working on her second novel. In her free time, Healy enjoys movies, theater, and karaoke.
In addition to her work as a novelist, Healy has written a play called SPIN, which was produced for charity in Los Angeles in October 2018. She is also developing the Open Tab series for film with her creative partner and audiobook narrator, Jill Smith, with the Whiskey Springs film project set to begin production in late 2019. Healy is passionate about breaking stereotypes through art to promote greater inclusion and equality. She studied ministry at Indiana Wesleyan University and Social Justice through Arizona State University. Healy lives in Connecticut with her wife Melissa and their three dogs, Sydney, Maggie, and a husky named Jameson.
