Nancy Lynn Jarvis is a successful author of fiction, particularly known for her Regan McHenry Real Estate Mysteries series. Born in Santa Cruz, California, Jarvis worked as a Realtor for twenty-five years before deciding to pursue her passion for writing. She has a BA in behavioral science from San Jose State University and has held various jobs, including working in the advertising department of the San Jose Mercury News, being a librarian, and serving as the business manager of Shakespeare/Santa Cruz. Jarvis believes in trying something new and different every few years, which is reflected in her diverse work history and writing career.
After letting her real estate license lapse in 2013, Jarvis focused her attention on writing. She has authored seven books in the Regan McHenry Real Estate Mysteries series, which draws from her extensive experience in the real estate industry. Jarvis has also ventured into other writing projects, including editing "Cozy Food: 128 Cozy Mystery Writers Share Their Favorite Recipes" and "Santa Cruz Weird," a short story anthology featuring contributions from seventeen Santa Cruz writers. Additionally, she has written "Mags and the AARP Gang," a novel inspired by an eighty-three-year-old woman, and "The Truth About Hosting Airbnb," a book that provides insider tips for hosting on Airbnb. Jarvis has also started a new series, PIP Inc. Mysteries, featuring downsized law librarian Pat Pirard, who has turned to working as a PI to keep herself and her pets from being homeless. She is currently working on the fifth book in the series while also editing "Santa Cruz Ghost Stories," set to be released in 2023. Jarvis enjoys hearing from her readers about what they would like to read next.
