Nero Blanc

Nero Blanc is a pseudonym used by the husband and wife writing team of Steve Zettler and Cordelia Frances Biddle. Both Zettler and Biddle are successful authors in their own right, and their collaboration under the name Nero Blanc has produced the popular Crossword Mysteries series of books.

Steve Zettler is a native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served 17 months of combat duty in Vietnam before embarking on a career that included stints as a professional photographer, actor, and writer. Zettler has authored several international thrillers, including "The Second Man," "Double Identity," and "Ronin." As an actor, he has appeared in numerous television shows and films, including "Cold Case," "Law & Order," "Criminal Intent," "The Wire," "Columbo," "Falcon Crest," "Divorce Court," "One Life to Live," "Defenseless," "The Manhattan Project," "Bird," and "The Mojo Cafe."

Cordelia Frances Biddle is the author of several historical mysteries, including "Without Fear," "Deception's Daughter," and "The Conjurer," all set in Victorian-era Philadelphia. Her writing is inspired by her research into her ancestors, including Nicholas Biddle, president of the Second Bank of the United States, and Francis Martin Drexel, father of Anthony Drexel, founder of the University. Biddle has also contributed to various magazines, including Town & Country, Hemispheres, and W, and has won the Lowell Thomas travel-writing award for "Three Perfect Days in Philadelphia." Prior to her writing career, she was an actress in New York, appearing on stage, in daytime dramas, and in off-Broadway productions. She is a member of the Authors Guild and Mystery Writers of America and teaches creative writing at Drexel University’s Pennoni Honors College. Her most recent work is nonfiction - "Saint Katharine: The Life of Katharine Drexel." Biddle and Zettler met as actors in New York.
