Nic Stone is a bestselling American author, best known for her raw and emotional debut novel, "Dear Martin." The book, which provides an incisive look at race relations in the United States, has garnered significant critical acclaim and has helped to establish Stone as a prominent voice in contemporary literature.
Born and raised in a suburb of Atlanta, GA, Stone developed a love for both adventure and storytelling at an early age. After graduating from Spelman College, she worked extensively in teen mentoring and spent several years living in Israel before returning to the US to pursue a career in writing. Growing up in a diverse community with a wide range of cultures, religions, and backgrounds, Stone is committed to bringing diverse voices and stories to her work.
In addition to "Dear Martin," Stone has also written several other well-received novels, including "Odd One Out" and "Jackpot." Despite her success, Stone remains deeply committed to her craft and continues to use her platform to advocate for greater diversity and representation in literature. She currently lives in Atlanta with her husband and two sons. Fans of Stone can connect with her on most social media platforms using the handle @getnicced, or by visiting her website, nicstone.info.
