Nick Oldham is a successful author of crime fiction and thriller novels, best known for his Henry Christie series. Born in Belthorn, Lancashire, in 1956, Oldham's career took a different turn when he joined the Lancashire Constabulary at the young age of nineteen. He had previously worked in a bank for a year after finishing college, but found the experience unsatisfying.
As a police officer, Oldham served in various positions for nearly three decades, spending the majority of his time in operational roles. His experiences in law enforcement would later provide inspiration for his writing. After retiring in 2005, Oldham decided to explore his passion for writing, leading to his successful second career. He is particularly known for the Henry Christie series, featuring the main character DCI Henry Christie, as he investigates various crime cases. The series has been well-received by readers and critics alike. Currently, Oldham lives with his partner, Belinda, on the outskirts of Preston.
