Nicolás Obregón is a London-born author of Spanish and French descent, best known for his Inspector Iwata mystery series. His debut novel, "Blue Light Yokohama," was published in 2017 and became an international success, released in over seven countries. The idea for the book emerged during a train journey from Hiroshima to Kyoto, inspired by his fascination with Japan. The series continued with "Sins As Scarlet" in 2018, set across California and Northern Mexico, followed by the final installment, "Unknown Male," in 2019, which brought Inspector Iwata back to Tokyo for a high-stakes murder investigation.
